On November 29, the world marks the International Day of Solidarity with Palestine. But for the women and girls of Gaza, every day is a day of survival — a day of courage, faith, and unshakable dignity. As Canadians, we cherish the values of justice and human rights. Today, those values call us urgently to raise our voices for the Daughters of Gaza.
Across the shattered neighborhoods of Gaza, young girls walk to school beneath the shadow of drones. Mothers bury their children and wipe their own tears only to console another grieving heart. Widows become protectors, educators, and providers overnight. Their resilience is not a choice — it is a testimony of faith and strength that inspires the entire world.
Allah asks us in the Qur’an:
“ And what is the matter with you that you do not stand up for the weak among men, women, and children? ”
(Surah An-Nisa 4:75)
These women did not choose war. They chose life, family, and the future — a future they are still fighting for. They raise sons and daughters with hope even as the world turns its back. They cling to dignity when the walls of their homes collapse. They remember God when everything else seems lost.
Their stories are not just stories of suffering — they are stories of courage and leadership . Women in Gaza are the beating heart of Palestinian society. Yet, their voices are rarely heard.
The campaign of ICNA Sisters raises awareness and advocacy for their voices, while ICNA Relief provides women-focused humanitarian support — including special care packages designed to meet the health, hygiene, and dignity needs of women and girls.
This is where we, as Canadian Muslims, come in. Our pens are powerful. Our words can travel into homes, classrooms, workplaces, and the halls of government. We must write. We must speak. We must amplify the voices of these remarkable women who continue to stand with unwavering faith. This campaign is not only about survival — it is about preserving dignity.
The Prophet ﷺ said:
“ The most beloved people to Allah are those who are most beneficial to others.”
(Tabarani – Hasan)
Through ICNA Relief , your contribution will provide special women’s care packages — including essential health and hygiene supplies, designed with sensitivity for monthly needs, maternal care, and basic dignity in crisis conditions.
For a woman in Gaza, this package means:
• cleanliness in hardship
• dignity in displacement
• care in the most vulnerable moments
Allah says:
“ Whatever good you spend, Allah knows it well.”
(Surah Al-Baqarah 2:273)
Silence is not neutrality — it is complicity. If we remain quiet while the innocent suffer, we betray our shared humanity.
Let us act with integrity. Let us write with courage. Let us refuse to let their stories fade away. The Daughters of Gaza deserve to be known — not as victims of war, but as *symbols of resistance, dignity, and hope.
