Legacy of Ibrahim AS
Samina Tariq Khan- Calgary
I find that the Legacy of Ibrahim (AS) is the highest level of trust on Allah (ST) and courage to take steps needed at the specific time. Like
Leaving his country and family
Thrown in fire
Leaving his wife and toddler in a deserted mountainous area
Ready to sacrifice his beloved child.
All actions were done in love, trust, and obedience of Allah ST. The same level of love, obedience and trust on Allah St was shown by his wife Hajar and son Ismael (AS).
When Ibrahim started to depart, Hajar followed him, saying, ‘O Ibrahim! Where are you going and leaving us in this deserted valley?’ She asked several times; he did not answer. She then said to him, ‘Did Allah command you to do this?’ Ibrahim replied, ‘Yes.’ She said, then certainly, He will not abandon us. Then we see how her strong faith, reliance on Allah, and perseverance in that hopeless environment shaped her qualities and leadership skills. Today we see her as the most courageous woman in history. What was the secret behind their courage, abilities, and leadership skills, from where they learned all those? And where does this courage come from?
They had a strong trust in Allah! every aspect of human life physical, mental, and spiritual nourishes and flourishes well when we display the highest level of love and trust on Allah ST.
It is not an easy skill to learn. We learn this success skill when we put our strong trust in Allah, courage descends in our hearts, it makes us able to take actions at the right time, be able to leave our comfort zone, step up and take actions, and be courageous in difficult times. This love and trust keep us hopeful and positive. We are not afraid of failures, and we do not need to be perfect, as we know Allah is seeing our efforts, intentions, and hard work. Inshallah we will be rewarded by him.
Experts say “courage” is the key to success in anything or everything we do in life.
All those who put their strong trust on Allah, Allah guides them in the most unique and amazing way.
“No disaster strikes except by permission of Allah. And whoever believes in Allah – He will guide his heart. And Allah is Knowing of all things. Verse 11, Taghabun
Ibrahim AS’s Supplication for Acceptance of Deeds we Ask Allah’s help for things to be completed smoothly and successfully.
