Does Every Child Matter

Does Every Child Matter
A child from Palestine
You said,
Every child matters,

But did you include me?
You said,
Every child belongs,

But did you open your arms to me?
You said,
No child should feel alone,

But did you forget my plea?
I was hungry,
Yet no one fed me.

I felt afraid,
Yet no one comforted me.

I was lonely,
With no one by my side.

I was weary,
And no one cared to guide.

I was fading,
And no one reached out.
So how can you say
Every child matters?

I was a child once,
Without a doubt.
