The Power of Affirmations

Experts of self- healing, self- motivation, self -development courses or therapies greatly regards the importance of positive affirmations. An Affirmation is the statement considered to be true or that exist. In grammar an affirmative clause is positive and does not contain a negative word. Experts say affirmations play an important role in shaping the success for whatever we desire to achieve in life. Every thought we think, every word we speak is kind of an affirmation, making us energetically move forward a step. It is vital to practice on regular basis those affirmations that supports and encourage us to move forward towards our goals.
What ’s the first thing you say to yourself when you wake up in the morning? You have to be vigilant about your negative or positive thought patterns as they will be taking part in your destiny. “The unconscious mind is the epicenter within us that sparks creation by way of memory, emotion symbolic interpretation, and believing at face value what we choose to consciously feed it”. [1]
It is crucial to start your day with a peaceful, intentional, emotional, physical, and creative statement and selfcare. Researchers say if you start your morning with good mood and spirit, it will lead you to a good day. Having a morning routine can increase your, productivity energy and positivity. “It also generates momentum, building up to the brains peak time for cognitive work”.[4]
Take an intentional look at your day as you wrap up your morning routine it will help you to have a good control over your day’s activities. Productivity coaches also suggest focusing on one thing at a time. “Be intentional in deciding where your energy and efforts need to go, complete that, and then move on to the next. Trying to juggle multiple tasks can lead to ineffective time management, low productivity, and burnout.” [6]
Writing an Affirmation.
a. Begin by writing down a sentence that you want to believe is true for you.
b. Affirmation must be supported by positive emotional intentions.
c. As you write put it in the present tense.
Supplications are the Best Affirmations: Depending on your own circumstances you can select the supplications and use them as affirmation to attract the desired results. Remember to support with good intentions, emotions, and focus to be fruitful.

Supplication for morning:

أَصْبَـحْـنا وَأَصْبَـحْ المُـلكُ للَّهِ رَبِّ العـالَمـين ، اللّهُـمَّ إِنِّـي أسْـأَلُـكَ خَـيْرَ هـذا الـيَوْم ، فَـتْحَهُ ، وَنَصْـرَهُ ، وَنـورَهُ وَبَـرَكَتَـهُ ، وَهُـداهُ ، وَأَعـوذُ بِـكَ مِـنْ شَـرِّ ما فـيهِ وَشَـرِّ ما بَعْـدَه

The morning has come to me and the whole universe belongs to Allah, the Lord of the worlds, O Allah, I ask you for the good of the day, it’s success and aid and its celestial light (Nur), and blessings(barakah) and seek guidance (Hidayah)and seek refuge from the evil in it (this day) and from the evil of that which is to come later. (Abu Dawood).

للَّهُمَّ عَافِنِي فِي بَدَنِي اللَّهُمَّ عَافِنِي فِي سَمْعِي اللَّهُمَّ عَافِنِي فِي بَصَرِي لاَ إِلَهَ إِلاَّ أَنْتَ
AbdurRahman ibn AbuBakrah (ra) said to his father: O my father! I hear you supplicating every morning: “O Allah! Grant me health in my body. O Allah! Grant me good hearing. O Allah! Grant me good eyesight. There is no god but Thou.” You repeat them three times in the morning and three times in the evening.
He said: I heard the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) using these words as a supplication and I like to follow his practice.[5]

Supplication for Evening.
أَمْسَيْـنا وَأَمْسـى المُـلكُ للهِ رَبِّ العـالَمـين ، اللّهُـمَّ إِنِّـي أسْـأَلُـكَ خَـيْرَ هـذهِ اللَّـيْلَة ، فَتْحَهـا ، وَنَصْـرَهـا ، وَنـورَهـا وَبَـرَكَتَـهـا ، وَهُـداهـا ، وَأَعـوذُ بِـكَ مِـنْ شَـرِّ ما فـيهـاِ وَشَـرِّ ما بَعْـدَهـا
‘We have reached the evening and at this very time all sovereignty belongs to Allah, Lord of the worlds. O’ Allah, I ask You for the good of tonight, its triumphs and its victories, its light and its blessings and its guidance, and I take refuge in You from the evil of tonight and the evil that follows it.’ [3]
